BHV Athlet, equipped with a new crane cable, is at work at the Kaiserschleuse
The 100t floating crane BHV ATHLET has been at work at the Kaiserschleuse Bremerhaven since Tuesday afternoon.
Just before, the 600 meter long crane cable of the “athlete” was replaced. In a process lasting several hours, the old crane cable was taken of the vessel, while the new cable was put on the drums.
At the Kaiserschleuse, the BHV ATHLET first undocked the standby gate and shifted it into the lock chamber. At the end of the week the standby gate and the outer main gate are planned to be set as lock sills. In this, both the floating crane BHV ATHLET and the floating crane SK 1 will be used.
