50 boxes, 130 tons each and 1 milestone for the natural gas industry - We present: Our Linde project at BVT Bremen.
Impressive components for the natural gas industry - the so-called “LNG cold boxes” - have been produced at our Bremen site since 2015. With a weight of 130 tons and a length of around 20 meters, they are real heavyweights and play a central role in the liquefaction and purification of natural gas.
How does it work? The boxes cool the natural gas down so much that it is liquefied - an essential process for transporting and storing it efficiently. At the same time, unwanted components are removed to ensure maximum purity.
On October 25, the time had come again: six of these giants were loaded onto a pontoon from the port of Neustadt. Their journey will take them to an onshore natural gas processing plant, where they will be put into operation - another important step for the energy supply of tomorrow.
