Christening of the 2nd hybrid ferry “Finkenwerder” in Hamburg
Sustainability on course: HADAG celebrated the christening of the second hybrid ferry “Finkenwerder” in the Port of Hamburg.
The 2nd hybrid ferry “Finkenwerder” for HADAG was christened in the Port of Hamburg! Carola Veit, President of the Hamburg Parliament, gave the new ferry its name. More than 200 guests joined in the celebrations as the traditional champagne bottle was smashed on the bow and the ferry was wished a safe journey at all times.
With the “Finkenwerder” and its sister ships “Neuland” (already in service since September) and “Grasbrook” (due to enter service next year), Hamburg is focusing on sustainable mobility and innovative shipping.
