In the course of the demolition of the ship "Seute Deern" in the museum harbor, the existing crosswalk was dismantled. The previous bridge could not be reused due to structural changes to the pier and thus a replacement bridge was required.
For this purpose, Metall- und Holzbau Andreas Carstens GmbH & Co. KG made an approx. 18 meter long steel bridge with oak plank decking from local timber. The bridge was prefabricated in individual parts in the workshop and assembled on site. It was then deployed between Columbusstraße and the Baltimore Pier.
