The construction of the new reserve gate for the large sea lock in Emden by Stahlbau Nord is entering the next exciting phase: The start of the flame cutting at BVT Bremen marks the official beginning of the implementation phase!
What does that mean? The construction department has created all the data that controls the flame cutting process. This allows the steel plates to be cut precisely - from external dimensions to openings for pipes, cable trays and manholes.
What happens next? The cut parts are processed into panels, transverse walls, decks and frames that form the basic structure of the gigantic 1000-ton lock gate.
