What about the MEKO A200 frigates for the Egyptian Navy?
After the first frigate – built in Bremerhaven by the HEINRICH RÖNNER GROUP – was handed over to the Egyptian Navy, two more handovers are still pending.
Ship I 904, named AL AZIZ, was handed over to the Egyptian Navy on Oct. 14, 2022, after about two years of construction.
Ship II, named AL QAHHAR, is underway in the Baltic Sea for final outfitting work and trials.
The firing start of ship III, AL QADEER, took place on Oct. 19, 2020. Since the baptism in October last year, the ship has been completed at the outfitting pier and will be handed over to the customer thyssenkrupp Marine Systems during this year's first half.
